Work-life integration important part of overall health, wellness

The Healthy Boiler program is designed with you in mind to support your overall health and wellness, and that includes work-life integration – one of the five pillars of the program. With that said, Purdue’s family-friendly practices and benefits strive to meet 21st century work-life demands and include:

Purdue offers generous paid leave policies for sick and personal time. Plus, resources like our West Lafayette recreational sports center and on-site health clinic (Center for Healthy Living), lactation support program, child care services and a national tuition savings program help you better care for yourself and your loved ones.

We also help employees meet their diverse family care needs through Care@Work. All employees have free access to this large online community where you can find short- and long-term care for children, seniors and even pets. Care@Work also gives you access to find professional services like pet sitters, housekeepers, tutors and more. More information is provided in the article in this issue.

Additionally, Purdue’s SupportLinc employee assistance program (EAP) offers access to family-friendly resources for childcare, elder care, home repair, housing needs, education, pet care, adoption and more. See the article in this issue for details.
